STUNTING

Hangtime

The bases are in a squat postion with their hands in front of them and flat with their arms at the 90 degree position. The flyer has one foot on each of the bases, hands which hold the heel and the toes of the flyer's shoes. The flyer puts his/her hands at the base shoulder then jumps into the hands of the bases putting one foot on each base and keeping their arms straight and the legs of the flyer are slightly bend. The back spot will hold the flyer waist and help her to get into the base hands then he/she grab the ankles tight.

Dip

The bases and the back spot dip with their leg in a squat position while the flyer keep his/her legs a little bit bent and dip with his/her arms at the same time. The flyer will then stand up as fast as possible and keep her legs straight while squeezing all of his/her muscle while the bases and the back spot lift him/her. When the bases are lifting the flyer it is recommended to always move your right leg forward and then put it back at it's place or keep it forward depending on the stunt you are doing. Also when lifting the bases have to turn their hands in a 90 degree angle to make a good platform for the flyer.

Dismount to hangtime

While the flyer is in the air both of the bases with back spot will dip then stand up while extending their arms and trying to stick the flyer's feet together then go down into the hangtime position.

Cradle postion

The cradle is the position that the flyer takes when he/she "pops" and then falls in the arms of the bases, the back spot catch him/her unders the arms or the back. The flyer can also catch the bases or just keep his/her arms next to her body.

Pop to cradle

A pop is when the bases dip into squat position while the back spot dipps with the ankle of the flyer and then they extend their arms to throw the flyer in the air and catch him/her in a cradle position. When catching the flyer it is really important that both of your leg aren't under the flyer's back to ensure injuries, if you moved your right leg while lifting the flyer and you let it there, just put it back next to your other leg when you pop your flyer so you don't hurt him/her. When the flyer has reached his/her maximum high, it is important that he/she pike his/her legs to fall in a cradle postion into the bases arms.

Different styles of "pop" (Inlcuding that the flyer always fall into a cradle position)

  • Straight : The flyer lifts her arms in the air while staying straight then putts them back next to him/her on both side.

  • Twist : Same as the straight except that the flyer will drop the left then the right arms making a circle with them by putting them on the left side to make a 360.

  • Double Twist : Same as the twist but the flyer does a 720.

  • Kick Twist/Full : The flyer kick his/her right leg in the air trying to make a split while the right arm is in the air in front of the right leg and the left arm is next to the flyer's body, then the right leg makes a circle to join the other leg while the right arm does the same and goes on the left side of the flyer's body with the left arm to make a 360.

  • Kick Double Twist/Full : Same as the kick twist but the flyer does a 720.

  • Arabian : The flyer goes straight in the air, makes a 180 then grab his/her legs to do a front tuck quick after he/she did the half turn.

  • Back tuck : The flyer goes straight in the air then pulls his/her legs, grabs them and do a back tuck.

  • Front tuck :The flyer goes straight in the air then grabs his/her legs to do a front tuck.

Stunts (the flyer may pop or dismount to hangtime at the end of the stunt)

Two-legged stunts

Low

The stunts get into a hangtime position and dip. Then, the bases and back spot lift the flyer until their hands are at their eye level, then lower them to the shoulder level of the bases and stay there. (The bases move the right leg forward while lifting the flyer and then put it back at it's place).

Full/Cupie

The stunts get into a hangtime position and dip. Then, the bases and back spot lift the flyer until their arms are extended and the feet of the flyer are stick together. (The bases move the right leg forward while lifting and keep it there until the pop).

One-legged stunts (These stunts can be perform in low or full)

Liberty

The flyer has one foot in the bases hands and the other one on the ground. The bases will have two differents roles, there will be a "main base" and a "side base". The main base will have his/her hands on the heel and the toes of the flyer's shoes while the side base have his/her hands on the middle and top of the shoes. The back spot will have the right or the left hand holding the ankle of the flyer (depending on the foot of the flyer in the base hands) and have the other one under the butt of the flyer to help lifting him/her up. They will all dip together and lift the flyer. During this time the flyer stand up and put the right or left legs in front with the right or left foot next to the thigh. After helping the flyer to get up, the back spot will grab the ankle of the flyer with both hand and squeeze it.

Heel Strecth

Same thing as the liberty, but instead of putting the right or left legs in front with the right or left foot next to the thigh, the flyer will grab his/her right or left foot and pull it close to him/her body, like doing a split while standing up.

Scorpion/Needle

For the scorpion flyer grabs the foot that isn't in the bases hands from behind with one hand, pulls it then grabs it with the other hand and finally pulls it as far as he/she can. The needle is pretty much the same except that it require lot of flexibility since the leg that is pulled must be straight.

Scale

The flyer grabs the foot that isn't in the bases hands from behind with the hand that is on the same side and then pulls it on the side to make it straight.

Arabesque

The flyer lifts his/her leg straight behind him/her as hisgh as possible.

Switch tock

It is the same beginning as the liberty, but the bases will only lift the flyer until the chest level, then the bases push the flyer leaving him/her in the air for a short amount of time. During this time the flyer will switch foot, which mean he/she will land on the opposite foot tht he/she started with. example if he/she started with the right foot, he/she will land on the left foot. The bases have to catch the foot that the flyer is landing on as fast as possible. The back spot helps the flyer to get higher and try to grab the ankle of the leg that the flyer is landing on. Note that bases do not change roles, the main base will stay the main base same goes for the side base.

Half up switch tock

Same thing as the switch tock, except that the flyer start in front of the stunt and will have to perform a 180 before landing in the bases hands. (Back spot and bases stay at their respective place, it is just the flyer that start in front of the bases, the flyer doesn't look at the crowd, he/she is facing his/her bases.)

Full up switch tock

Same as the half up switch tock, the flyer will do a 180 but the bases with the back spot will also do 180 after catching the flyer's foot. Note that in the full up switch tock the flyer starts behind the bases and not in front of them. (All the position are in there respective way).
